Project Play 2nd Sem. Week 2

I've used Google Docs before. It was super handy when I was working online with classmate on projects. It allowed us to all work on our project at the same time. I like to put things into google docs that I am using at home and work. That way I don't need to be emailing myself documents as attachments or be transferring files to my jump drive. Plus, usually when I plug something extra into the work computer (my jump drive, my camera) it causes it to crash. Then I have to call over and have the catalog connection reset. I have to log out of everything, turn the computer off, plug whatever in, and then turn on the computer again and log back into everything. It makes life interesting. There is never a dull moment in the children's area! :)

I'm not too sure how it would be helpful to me in libraries. I work with the toddlers - they're too little to contribute too much to a document. Usually I just ask the other children's librarian to come over and look at something if it is electronic. She's only 10 feet away. However, I can see how it would be good if there is a join program that someone is putting on. They can easily share publicity publications and keeping track of what is going on. But it's a great tool for long distances!

Great that this tool might keep you from having to go through that restart dance on your computer :-)
